Is It Really Still A Buyer's Market?
If you are looking to sell your home in the Lake George area, you are probably not going to like the answer. Making it an even more important time to price your home correctly to sell.
Why is this the case? It's a numbers game. The built up inventory from the recession years still has not thinned out. There are more homes for sale than we would expect to see in a typical year. A big part of that is our area is home to many vacation and second homes. Many purchases are a luxury versus a must have. This means that many home sellers, in order to attract buyers, need to price it right!
This begs the question: When will the market turnaround?
There's no clear answer to this, as no one can truly predict the future. But in past downturns in the economy, the Lake George area has been about a year behind other markets, both regionally and nationally. When things do turn around it is a very hot and competitive market.
