LakeGeorge.com is run by Mannix Marketing, an expert in local tourism in the region. Here you can find anything from how to go about securing island camping reservations on Lake George to new business openings to schedules for popular annual events like the Adirondack Balloon Festival.

VisitLakeGeorge.com is operated by Warren County Tourism. They offer info on attractions, dining, and more, and they also highlight Taste NY at the Adirondacks Welcome Center. This is the official eat-local, drink-local program for the state. You can also request a printed travel guide they update annually.

LakeGeorgeChamber.com

The Lake George Chamber of Commerce & CVB is one of the main tourism resources in the area, as this group is always one of the first in the know on what’s going on. As with VisitLakeGeorge.com, you can also request a physical travel guide.

Newspapers and area publications are always a great place to start when researching a place to live. We’re fortunate to have several in the Lake George area that can keep you updated on all the goings on.

The Post Star

The Post Star is the primary newspaper in the area, and they cover Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties. Just be warned that you may hit a paywall block when accessing the publication online. As of this writing, they’re charging $1 for three months to new customers.

The Lake George Mirror

The Lake George Mirror can boast that they’re the oldest resort newspaper in the country, having started out as a summer publication for Lake George in 1880. It is now a year-round newspaper that covers the Lake George watershed.

The Glens Falls Chronicle

Published on Thursdays, the Glens Falls Chronicle can be picked up for free at area grocery stores and gas stations, and you can sign up to receive an email with a link to the latest issue each week, also for free. The Chronicle covers Warren, Washington, and Northern Saratoga Counties.

Foothills Business Daily

The Foothill Business Daily focuses on businesses and government news in Warren and Saratoga Counties – “from Saratoga Springs to Bolton Landing.” They pride themselves on providing informational, helpful, and not-too-long articles.

The Sun Community News

Learning more north, the Sun Community News is based out of Elizabethtown and covers all of Northeastern New York as well as Western Vermont.

Adirondack Explorer

Adirondack Explorer covers the entire Adirondack region, and they’re the only nonprofit, independent media organization that does.
