Have you heard of Silver Bay, NY? One of the many municipalities situated on the shores of Lake George, this hamlet is located in the town of Hague about 15 minutes north of Bolton Landing. And, it was recently declared the place with the most expensive homes in Warren County.

The housing marking has been booming in and around Lake George, especially waterfront properties. It comes as no surprise that the values of homes in Warren County have been rising significantly not just since the pandemic, but going as far back as 2018.
Stacker recently compiled a list of the 20 places with the most expensive homes in the county, using data from Zillow as recent as August of 2022. Only one municipality, Stony Creek which came in at #20, didn’t have data as far back as 2018; the rest show the increase since that year.
Silver Bay’s typical home value came in at $1,051,275, which is a 16.8% increase since 2021, and a 39.8% increase since 2018. Next up are Bolton Landing with an average home value of $712,876, Diamond Point at $640,954, Adirondack at $616,149, and Lake George came in at number five on the list with a typical home value of $455,150.
Silver Bay is home to a YMCA conference center and the Silver Bay General Store, which has been a significant presence in the area for 95 years as of 2022.
