Where To Find Real Estate Info

When you are looking to buy a home, having reliable information can be both smart and comforting. And although information seems to be everywhere, unfortunately the reliability of any piece of real estate data can often be questionable.

And that’s what real estate agents are here for. I can help you find information to make sure you are looking in the right place for your wants, needs and budget. Just send me a quick note or give me a call at 321-1870 and let me know what type information will help you in your home search.

What information do home buyers find useful? Many people I have worked with have asked for the following:

  • What area properties sold recently?
  • What did they sell for?
  • What are the latest listings? (everyone wants to be the first to know about a listing, right?)
  • What is a home really worth?

You may be asking: What about a website like Zillow or Trulia?

It is true that real estate aggregators have been useful in offering some information, especially early on in a home search. But not all the information they provide is up to date or accurate. This is especially true of their estimates on home values. These numbers are often generated via a formula they have generated based on certain criteria, not firsthand knowledge and visits to a particular home. Getting a professional estimate is always the best bet here (and the more important question is usually ‘How much is a home worth to me?’)

When you have any real estate information needs as you start your home buying process, please call me at (518) 321-1870. I’m happy to do what I can to help you find your dream home.
